Problem Possible cause Solution
The appliance
suddenly stops
vacuuming, the
appliance beeps,
the vacuum
symbol flashes
and the red
triangle lights up.
The dust container
may be full or the
filter unit may be
dirty. This causes
the motor to
become too hot,
which triggers the
overheat protection
of the motor.
Unplug the appliance and
empty the dust container.
Clean the filter unit. If the
appliance switches off
again when you connect it
to the mains and switch it
on again, replace the EPA
filter. If this does not solve
the issue and the
appliance stops vacuuming
again and again, please
contact the Philips
Consumer Care Centre.
You may have used
the vacuum mode
for more than 30
minutes. This
triggered the
overheat protection
of the motor.
When the motor gets
overheated because the
appliance was used longer
than 30 minutes, you have
to wait 2 hours to let the
appliance cool down.
The suction
power decreased
suddenly.
The dust container
is full, the filter is
dirty or if the
vacuum inlet is
blocked.
Unplug the appliance.
Empty the dust container
and clean the filter. If the
vacuum inlet is dirty, use
the brush to clean it.
The lamp is not
always on or goes
on and off from
time to time.
If you use the
appliance on a dark
surface, the
response time of
the sensor is
longer.
The UV lamp is controlled
by a sensor in the bottom
of the appliance. This
sensor ensures that the
lamp goes out when the
appliance is 5cm off the
surface or the surface is
very dark.
